New Delhi, July 31: Jamia Hamdard welcomed the new cohorts of its MBA Health Management and MBA Pharmaceutical Management programs with an Induction Ceremony held at the university’s Convention Centre here Tuesday. This event marked the commencement of the academic journey for the 20th batch of MBA Health Management students and the 19th batch of MBA Pharmaceutical Management students.
The ceremony featured esteemed Guests of Honour, Mr. Ravi Bhatnagar, Director of External Affairs & Partnerships AMESA at Reckitt, and Dr. Naveen Nishchal, Chairman of Voice of Healthcare. Both speakers shared their experiences and insights on the burgeoning healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, providing valuable guidance to the new students.
The induction aimed to foster connections among students and faculty members while introducing the new entrants to the university’s culture and values. The event commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an by Janab A. M. Farooqui, Imam of Rabea Mosque at Jamia Hamdard, setting a reflective tone for the day.
Prof. (Dr.) Reshma Nasreen, Dean of SMBS and Head of the Department of Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Management, extended a warm welcome to the guests and students. “This ceremony marks the beginning of a new journey for our students,” she remarked, emphasizing the department’s commitment to delivering high-quality education.
A documentary film showcasing the life and contributions of Janab Hakeem Abdul Hameed Saheb, the founder of Jamia Hamdard, was presented, offering a glimpse into the university’s rich history and scenic campus.
The presence of Janab Hammad Ahmed, Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard, added significant prestige to the event.
Prof. (Dr.) M. Afshar Alam, the Vice Chancellor, addressed the gathering, highlighting the university’s dedication to equipping students for future challenges. “Our aim is to provide education that seamlessly blends theoretical knowledge with practical experience,” he stated, underscoring the importance of a balanced educational approach.
