New Delhi, July 23: Jamia Hamdard has achieved the number one position in the field of ‘Drug Delivery’ in the Global Lifetime Ranking by ScholarGPS. This prestigious ranking places Jamia Hamdard ahead of notable institutions like the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, and University College London, United Kingdom, which secured the second and third spots respectively.
The ScholarGPS International Institutional Rankings assess institutions based on the quality and quantity of their active scholars, emphasizing highly productive research (number of publications) with significant impact (citations) and excellent quality (h-index).
The rankings consider the lifetime contributions or the prior five-year achievements of scholars, with a focus on publication and citation metrics while excluding self-citations. The unique methodology of ScholarGPS provides separate rankings for academic institutions and non-academic entities such as private or public industries, healthcare systems, and research institutions. Additionally, country-specific institutional rankings are available.
This accolade adds to Jamia Hamdard’s national and international recognition. The Chancellor, Hammad Ahmed, and the Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) M. Afshar Alam, extended their congratulations to the faculty and students of the School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (SPER) and their collaborators for this remarkable achievements.
