New Delhi, Nov. 20: Department of Jarahiyat & Ain Uzn Anf wa Halaq (Eye & ENT), SUMER, Jamia Hamdard in association with Majeedia Unani Hospital organized Free Medical Health Camp here Thursday, marking World Diabetes Day 2023, with the theme Empowering Global Health.
The Free Medical Health camp was specially focused for patients, students, employees of Jamia Hamdard and their relatives.
More than 200 patients benefitted with free facilities such as BMR, BMD, Blood Sugar Checkup, Hemoglobin %, Blood Pressure Checkup, Dental Checkup. Several Unani and Ayurvedic companies distributed free medicines to the patients on this occasion.
The Registrar Dr. M.A. Sikandar also visited the free Medical Health Camp and was very happy to see the patient’s interest regarding Unani treatment.
This camp completed with expectation to expose our communities about Unani treatment towards diabetes and its complications like Diabetic foot, Diabetic Retinopathy, Hearing Impairment due to diabetes, Diabetic Cardiomyopathy, Diabetic Nephropathy, Diabetic Neuropathy, Diabetic Encephalopathy, Dental problem due to diabetes and other local or systemic disease.

Professor, Department of Ain Uzn Anaf wa Halaq, Dr. Sonia Raj Consultant Dental OPD, Dr. Kalim Ahmad, Emergency Medical Officer, Majeedia Unani Hospital, Prof. M. Akram Department of Tahaffuzi wa Samaji Tibb and most of the faculty members of SUMER along with RMOs, BUMS Intern, Staff Nurse and Ward boy of Majeedia Unani Hospital were present.
