Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind Sends 30 Trucks of Flood Relief Aid to Punjab

Punjab: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind’s Relief Center dispatched thirty trucks carrying humanitarian aid worth five million rupees to districts affected by recent floods in Punjab. The aid will reach areas including Sultanpur Lodhi, Kapurthala, Anjala, Gurdaspur, Ferozepur, and Ludhiana.

The convoy was led by Maulana Muhammad Yahya Karimi, Nazim-e-Ala of Haryana, under the guidance of Jamiat president Maulana Mahmood Madani. Members of Jamiat, Punjab government ministers, activists, and Sikh community representatives were present during the convoy’s departure.

Local Sikh leaders praised the initiative, highlighting the collaborative spirit in helping hundreds of flood-affected families. Jamiat emphasized that its relief work transcends religious and national boundaries, viewing humanity as a global family.

Maulana Madani stated, “We do all of this for the sake of Allah — to please him. We stand with our Sikh brothers who are well known for serving humanity. Allah sends help to those who help others around them.” The organization reaffirmed its commitment to providing aid without discrimination, reflecting its ethos of service and compassion.

The relief operation includes essential supplies such as food, water, clothing, and medical aid, aimed at supporting communities in immediate need. Authorities and volunteers coordinated logistics to ensure the aid reaches the hardest-hit areas promptly.

This large-scale humanitarian effort showcases interfaith solidarity and emphasizes the importance of timely action during natural disasters. The initiative is expected to provide immediate relief and support recovery efforts in the flood-affected regions.
