Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind to Boycott Events of ‘Secular’ Leaders Over Silence on Muslim Issues

New Delhi: Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has announced that it will boycott iftar gatherings, Eid Milan functions, and other events organized by leaders such as Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, and Lok Janshakti Party leader Chirag Paswan. The organization stated that these politicians, despite calling themselves secular, have remained silent on the injustices and atrocities faced by Muslims in the country.
Jamiat accused these leaders of prioritizing political interests over constitutional values, claiming that their support for the government, even on controversial issues, reflects their indifference to the plight of the Muslim community. The organization specifically pointed out their stance on the Waqf Amendment Bill, asserting that it exposes their double standards and lack of commitment to secularism and justice.
According to Jamiat, true secularism demands taking a stand against oppression and upholding the principles of the Indian Constitution. By refusing to speak out against policies that undermine minority rights, these leaders have shown that their secularism is merely a political tool rather than a genuine commitment to democratic values.
