Jamiat Ulema Hind (JUH) Maharashtra Holds Emergency Meeting to Strengthen Membership Drive

Mumbai: An emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of Jamiat Ulema Hind (JUH) Maharashtra’s Mumbai Suburbs, Thane, and Palghar units was convened under the organization’s supervision at Madrasa Taleem-ul-Quran, Govandi. The session, presided over by Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Nadeem Siddiqui, focused on strengthening Jamiat’s mission, safeguarding the Muslim community from apostasy, and reinforcing the role of office-bearers.
The event began with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Muhammad Salman, followed by a Naat by Qari Saad bin Aslam. In his address, Maulana Nadeem Siddiqui highlighted Jamiat Ulama Hind’s century-long contributions and its enduring relevance in contemporary times. He emphasized that the organization’s strength lies in its dedicated workers and urged them to actively participate in the membership drive.
Mufti Syed Huzaifa Qasmi, the Organizational Secretary of Jamiat Ulama Maharashtra, elaborated on the membership process, election principles, and strategic plans. Prominent leaders, including Qari Sadiq, Qari Muhammad Ayub, Maulana Wajahat Athar Qasmi, and Maulana Shamim Akhtar Nadvi, called on members to expand Jamiat’s presence in their localities.
Discussions covered issues such as Muslim rights, community challenges, and national security. Maulana Siddiqui urged intensified efforts in slum areas, while Mufti Abdul Rahman Ashrafi emphasized Jamiat’s role in countering apostasy. The meeting concluded with a commitment to bolstering Jamiat’s grassroots strength.
