JIH Ameer Sadatullah Husaini Releases Tafheemul Quran Hindi App

New Delhi: Syed Sadatullah Husaini, President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), launched Tafheemul Quran Hindi app during a programme organized by Islami Sahitya Trust at JIH headquarters here Thursday. The app is available for both Android and iOS platforms and can be downloaded by searching for “Tafheemul Quran Hindi” on the Play Store.

In his presidential address, Syed Sadatullah Husaini commended the efforts of Islami Sahitya Trust and congratulated Yusuf Amin, who developed the app. He highlighted the tireless efforts of Maulana Maududi in writing the commentary titled Tafheemul Quran. Maulana Maududi, he noted, learned German and studied foundational texts of Hinduism to ensure his commentary was deeply researched. Husaini emphasised the need to make the app widely accessible, not only for Muslims but also for Hindi speakers in the broader Hindi belt region.

Maulana Anisur Rahman Qasmi, former Nazim of Imarat Sharia Bihar and Vice President of All India Milli Council, discussed the intricacies of translation work. He praised Maulana Maududi’s translation, mentioning its significance and how he personally benefited from it.

Malik Motasim Khan, Vice President of JIH, expressed his happiness and congratulated the entire team for their noble work, describing it as a vital source of guidance for humanity.

Farhat Hussain, Chairman of Islami Sahitya Trust, provided an overview of the efforts involved in designing and preparing the app. He also shared plans to digitise other Islamic books in the future.

Maulana Naseem Ahmad Ghazi, who along with his team translated all six volumes of Tafheemul Quran into Hindi, explained that it took 12 years to complete the translation. He noted that the text was written in simple, accessible language.

Dr. Muhammad Raziul Islam Nadvi, National Secretary of JIH, acknowledged the contributions of everyone involved in the project.

Yusuf Amin, the app developer, detailed its features, including the recitation of the Quran, Hindi translation, and commentary. Users can read both the translation and commentary, while the listening feature is available for the translation alone.

Waris Hussain, Secretary of the Trust, delivered introductory remarks before the app poster was unveiled by the JIH President and other leaders.
