Beawar: A prize distribution ceremony took place at Iqra Public Secondary School here as part of the “Morality, the Foundation of Freedom” campaign initiated by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind. The event aimed to recognize and encourage students’ engagement in promoting moral values through various competitions.
Mumtaz Ali, JIH Ajmer and Rajsamand Districts Joint Secretary presided over the ceremony, highlighting the organization’s commitment to implementing the campaign’s objectives in the region. Special guests Hafiz Mohammad Imtiaz Qasmi and Shamama Bano joined the proceedings, emphasizing the significance of good morals in society.
During the event, awards were presented to students excelling in essay writing, debates, speeches, poster-making, and quizzes. Yasmin Bano clinched the top prize in the essay competition, followed by Afreen Bano and Khushboo Bano. In the speech category, Sania Bano took first place, with Amina Bano and Afreen Bano finishing second and third, respectively. The poster-making competition was led by Rubina Bano, while Heena Khatat emerged victorious in the quiz segment.
All participants received cash prizes, shields, and a book titled “Who is Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ?”, fostering further interest in moral education.
In his address, Hafiz Mohammad Imtiaz Qasmi stressed that good morals define a person’s character, advocating for kindness, support for others, and justice in actions. Shamama Bano voiced her concerns about the declining moral standards in contemporary society, lamenting the growing indifference to societal repercussions for unethical behavior.
Mehboob Khan, Director of Iqra Public Secondary School, expressed gratitude to all attendees for their participation, reiterating the importance of such initiatives in nurturing moral values among youth.
This event served as a significant platform to promote discussions on morality, recognizing students’ contributions while addressing concerns about ethical standards in today’s world.
