Beawar, Sep 3: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has initiated a nationwide monthlong campaign titled “Morality is Freedom,” in September 2024. This campaign seeks to rejuvenate moral values across the country. An event under this initiative was held at the Rajasthan Cheeta Meharat Kathat Mahasabha Bhavan here, presided over by Ramesh Kathat, president of the Mahasabha.
Dr. Professor Jalaluddin Kathat addressed the audience, highlighting the pressing issues plaguing the nation and the Beawar region. He emphasized that the solution to these challenges lies in fostering love and compassion within the community.
Maulana Waliullah Sayeedi Falahi, JIH National Vice President, also shared his insights, urging citizens to work together across religious and social divides. He stressed the necessity of collective efforts to combat the rise of hatred and negativity through compassion and mutual understanding.
Maulana Falahi expressed deep concern over the alarming decline in moral values within society, citing the increasing incidents of sexual abuse, rape, and murder. He specifically pointed out the deteriorating safety of women in the country. In response to these troubling trends, JIH has embarked on this campaign to restore ethical standards in society.
Throughout the campaign, Jamaat workers will engage with individuals from all castes, religions, and communities. The campaign will include outreach to families, lectures in schools and colleges, street corner meetings, seminars with religious leaders, debates, quizzes, literature distribution, and programs featuring influential women. Additionally, articles will be published in magazines and newspapers, sermons will be delivered in mosques, and family get-togethers and poetry writing sessions will be organized to spark moral awakening.
The program saw the participation of prominent figures, including General Secretary Shahid Khan, Joint Secretary Mumtaz Ali, Dr. Javed Hussain, former Secretary Muhammad Hussain, former President Gazi Ji Dang Ismail Ji Kathat, Razak Kathat, Muhammad Anwar, Up-Sarpanch Muhammad Salim, Ehsan Ali, Jamil Kathat, Engineer Sharfuddin, among others. Mahasabha Secretary Ibrahim Kathat expressed his gratitude to the guests and attendees.
