JIH Coimbatore Celebrates 78th Independence Day Across the City

Coimbatore, August 16: The 78th Independence Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm in various parts of Coimbatore under the auspices of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH).

At the Gandhi Nagar branch in Karumbukkadai, a flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the branch office, where Sabir Ahmed, former President of JIH Tamil Nadu, unfurled the national flag and graced the occasion.

In Kuniyamuthur, a similar event was organized at the Hira Masjid, where P.S. Umar Farooq, President of JIH Coimbatore Metropolitan, hoisted the flag and delivered a keynote address.

The celebrations continued at Masjidul Qawsar in the G.M. Nagar area, where Abdul Hakeem, Public Relations Secretary of JIH Coimbatore, led the flag-hoisting and addressed the gathering.

At Masjidul Muhajireen in Vellalore, Teacher Saleem Sahib, President of JIH Coimbatore East Zone, hoisted the national flag and gave an inspiring speech. Students of Madinatul Uloom Madarasa, dressed as freedom fighters, presented cultural performances that added to the spirit of the occasion.

The Independence Day celebrations saw active participation from students, local residents, and community leaders, making it a memorable event for all involved.
