Coimbatore, May 26: The Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Coimbatore successfully hosted a ‘Hajj Guidance Camp – 2024’ for prospective Hajees at The Wedding Palace Hall in Podanur. The event, held on May 20 aimed to prepare pilgrims for their upcoming Hajj pilgrimage.
P.S. Umar Farook, District President of JIH, delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the various activities and contributions of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind. He underscored the importance of the guidance camp in ensuring that the Hajees are well-prepared for their spiritual journey.
The keynote address was delivered by Moulavi Mohammed Riyasdeen Ashari, who spoke on the ‘Soul of Hajj’. He articulated that Hajj is far more than a series of rituals to seek Allah’s blessings. Instead, it represents the ultimate act of submission to the Creator. Moulavi Ashari urged the pilgrims to prepare their hearts for complete devotion, which is crucial for gaining Allah’s approval.
Following this, Moulavi Mohammed Ismayil Imdadhi presented an insightful PowerPoint presentation on ‘Performing Hajj & Umrah’. His presentation, rich with spiritual and historical insights, stressed that Hajj should be an opportunity for pilgrims to abandon their sins and commit to leading a spiritually and morally clean life upon their return.
The camp received positive feedback from attendees, with about 310 Hajees from the Coimbatore District participating. The presentation and addresses were lauded for their depth and relevance, helping attendees better understand and appreciate the significance of Hajj.
