Mapusa, October 29: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Goa organized a program, ‘The Visionary Woman’ here on Sunday. The primary aim of this event was to honor and celebrate the achievements of professional Muslim women in Goa. It served as a platform to recognize and appreciate their contributions and success in various fields.
The program was hosted by Mrs. Munira Ali.
The program began with a recitation of the Qur’ānic verses by Mrs. Zuhreh, setting a spiritual tone for the event.
Mr. Asif Hussain, Ameer Halqua JIH Goa, delivered the inaugural address, focusing on the crucial topic of educated Muslim women playing an active role in Islamic advocacy. His speech emphasized the importance of role of women in reformation of the society.
The most awaited part of the program was the memento presentation. Mrs. Tafsin Shaikh and Mrs. Shabana Shaikh presented mementos to approximately 80 professional women.
The guest speaker Mrs. Rahamathunissa Abdulrazak, JIH National Secretary, delivered a speech, which appeared to have left a lasting impact on the audience. She highlighted key points, such as providing relevant information to meet the community’s needs, countering negative stereotypes about Islamic values, responsible online engagement, self-improvement, and community support, and promoting unity within the community through collective action. These points inspired the audience to contribute positively to their community.
The program concluded with dua by Mrs. Fakhera Tabassum and a vote of thanks was presented by Mrs. Nazrana Darvesh.
The fact that the audience loved and were inspired by the program is a testament to its success. The event appeared to have achieved its goal of not only honoring professional Muslim women but also motivating and unifying the gathering for constructive social transformation.
