JIH Howrah Hosts Discussion on ‘Concept of Life after Death in My Religion’

Uluberia, Howrah, Jan. 22: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Howrah District organized a discussion on the “Concept of Life after Death in My Religion” at Society Upliftment Center here Sunday. The event served as a platform to bring together scholars and participants from diverse religious backgrounds to explore the concept of life after death within the context of various faiths and promote social harmony in society.

The discussion delved into the rituals associated with different religions, providing insights into their respective beliefs. Distinguished scholars representing Hinduism, Christianity, and Islam shared their perspectives, shaping the discourse with the teachings and values intrinsic to their faiths.

The participants actively engaged in the dialogue, expressing their thoughts. The inaugural speech by Sarif Hossain set the tone for the discussion, emphasizing the importance of understanding and respecting diverse religious perspectives.

The speakers included Yogi Pratik Majumdar, Swami Anantananda from Ramakrishna Ashram, Bindabanpur; Soren Singh, representing Sikhism; Alimuddin, representing Islam; Reverend Sanjiv, a Christian priest from Barrackpur Church; Dr. Noor Ahmed Mollah, JIH Howrah President; Julfikar Mollah and Nassir Hossain Haldar, JIH Howrah Secretaries.

Additionally, the organizers arranged a Visit My Mosque event where Dr. Anisur explained the details of namaz in the Bengali language, further fostering understanding and inclusivity among participants.

The event marked a significant step towards promoting interfaith dialogue and understanding.
