Hyderabad, Mar. 4: The Media Department of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Hyderabad City, organized a first-of-its-kind YouTube/Facebook Influencers Get-together Program, titled ‘YouTube Influencers Get-together,’ held at the Empire Convention Hall here Sunday.
Speakers included Dr. Faheemuddin Ahmed, Editor-in-Chief of Dawat Weekly, Dr. Mubashir Ahmed, and Shariff Tajuddin, JIH Hyderabad City President and Media Secretary respectively.
Around 70 influencers attended the program. The get-together featured small lectures and open interactive sessions on the importance of Social Media Influencers.
Dr. Faheemuddin Ahmed emphasized that the media has become a puppet in the hands of their masters. He highlighted the role of YouTube/Facebook Influencers in using their craft to eradicate social stagnation, emphasizing their duty to stand against injustice and support victims. He also emphasized that influencers can build a positive narrative with their followers and subscribers. He cited the initiation of the Arab Spring revolution due to a Facebook live speech as one of the best examples of influencers’ roles. He also stated that in the future, YouTubers & Facebook influencers will play a major role in all aspects, spotlighting the importance of their role as agents of hope and change.
Dr. Mubashir Ahmed mentioned that people have lost faith in Mainstream Channels, quoting a recent survey where only 36% of people believe in them. On the contrary, there is a high increase in the number of YouTube channels, and he urged social media influencers to work with justice. He appealed to influencers to play a vital role in providing justice to all segments of people irrespective of caste and creed. He also appealed to YouTubers to work together towards the establishment of a better society and fight against injustice to victims.
Shariff Tajuddin explained why social media influencers cannot be ignored in today’s scenario and underscored the importance of ‘YouTubers.’ He emphasized that any YouTube influencer holds the power of a media house.
Azam Ali Baig, City Secretary of JIH Hyderabad, explained the works of JIH activities. He said JIH always works for the betterment of society, eradicating evils.
