JIH Hyderabad Hosts Media Awareness Workshop

Hyderabad, Jan. 30: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Hyderabad City’s Media Department organized a One-Day Awareness Workshop for selected JIH Cadre from the city, titled ‘Media Matters,’ held at the JIH City Office in Asif Nagar here Sunday.

Speakers included Dr. Mubashir Ahmed and Shariff Tajuddin, JIH Hyderabad City President and Media Secretary respectively, along with prominent media personalities, academicians, writers, and dignitaries.

The workshop featured several lectures with PowerPoint presentations, tips on article writing, training on citizen journalism, a panel discussion, and open interactive sessions, all aimed at elucidating the importance of media and social media to the participants.

Dr. Mubashir Ahmed emphasized that writers should possess a social spirit and consider writing as a social responsibility. He highlighted the role of writers and journalists in using their craft to eradicate social stagnation, emphasizing their duty to stand against injustice and support victims.

Shariff Tajuddin explained why the media cannot be ignored in today’s scenario and underscored the importance of ‘Media Matters.’ He also provided training on citizen journalism, emphasizing that any common person, without specialized skills, can become a journalist through citizen journalism and raise their voice for victims. Tajuddin cited the coverage of the Palestine Genocide as one of the best examples of citizen journalism.
