Hyderabad: The Videography and Photography Workshop, organised by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Hyderabad, kicked off on January 5th at Darul Huda School, Chandrayangutta, drawing over 60 participants.
Speaking to Radiance, Shariff Tajuddin, Media Secretary, JIH Hyderabad highlighted the importance of the workshop in empowering the cadre with vital media skills for societal change. He said the programme aimed to equip participants with tools to make a meaningful impact through media outreach.
The session began with a heartfelt recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Hameeduddin Quadri.
Ahmed Basha, convener, set an engaging tone for the day. Shariff Tajuddin delivered the inaugural address, emphasising the workshop’s objectives and its relevance to the Hyderabad Media Report.
Syed Ahmed Ali from the Media Department of JIH Headquarters addressed the critical topic of “Changing Public Opinion in Favour of Islam Through Media,” offering valuable insights into how the media can shape public perception and positively influence societal narratives.
The workshop also included live sessions conducted by industry professionals. Mr. Maneesh, Director of Photography, led a hands-on session that enriched participants’ understanding of photography techniques. Later, Azam Ali Baig, City Secretary of JIH Hyderabad, discussed the intersection of media and Dawah, emphasising how media can be leveraged for effective religious outreach.
The day continued with an editing workshop, led by an industry expert, focusing on essential techniques for producing high-quality content. The workshop concluded with a presentation by Rizwan, who provided a roadmap titled “What Next – Road Map,” encouraging participants to apply their newly learned skills in media projects within their communities.
