JIH Jamshedpur Women’s Wing Raises Concerns over Erosion of Fundamental Moral Values

Jamshedpur, Sep 2: The Women’s Wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind held a press conference at Hotel Kannelite Sakchi in Jamshedpur, presided over by Dr. Nuzhat Parveen. The conference focused on the increasing erosion of moral values and the rising violence against women, expressing deep concern over these issues. To address these issues, JIH Jamshedpur Women’s Wing is running a monthlong campaign entitled “Morality in Freedom”, in which different programs will be organized at different levels throughout the month of September.

During the press conference, Dr. Parveen voiced serious concerns about the ongoing atrocities against Dalits, Adivasis, minorities, and Muslim women. She highlighted recent incidents that have shaken the nation, such as the gang rape of a 4-year-old Dalit girl in Bihar and the rape and murder of a Muslim girl in Uttarakhand.

Dr. Parveen emphasized that women across the country are unsafe, with crimes against them increasing every year, according to NCRB and National Family Health Survey (NFHS) data. She pointed out that these incidents are not just isolated headlines but reflect the gravity of the cases being reported across the nation.

The JIH Jamshedpur Women’s Wing reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and harmony in the country, stressing the need to control the rising crime rate. They warned of the dangerous consequences of growing communalism, asserting that the nation’s vastness and harmony should not be tampered with.

Key contributors to the success of this program included Mohammad Abrar, Mohammad Shahid Khurshid, Ikram Aman Sadiq, and Khalid Iqbal. The event was compered by Mahjabeen Akhtar, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Nasira Begum. This unique women’s conference left a strong message for the city’s residents.
