JIH Karnataka Announces Statewide Seerah Campaign 2026

Bengaluru: As the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal approaches, Muslims across the world prepare to commemorate the life and legacy of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. In Karnataka, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) has announced its annual Seerah Campaign 2026, to be held across the state from August 26 to September 6 under the theme “Beacon of Revolution – Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.” The campaign poster was unveiled by JIH Karnataka President Dr. Mohammed Saad Belgami in the presence of state secretaries.

The Seerah Campaign is an annual public outreach initiative of JIH Karnataka. Each year, the campaign is organised around a contemporary theme inspired by the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, accompanied by the publication of new books that present different dimensions of the Prophet’s personality and message. This year’s campaign will feature new Kannada publications aimed at making the Prophet’s teachings more accessible and relevant to contemporary society.

Preparations for the campaign are underway, with JIH Karnataka scheduled to hold a state-level coordination meeting to finalise its outreach plans. The organisation has also urged its local chapters to collaborate with Muslim scholars, community institutions and local leadership in organising the campaign, with the objective of making it a broad-based community initiative across Karnataka.

The statewide campaign will feature a range of public outreach programmes, including public lectures, book exhibitions and distribution drives, interactions with eminent personalities, community dialogues and youth-focused initiatives. Through these activities, the campaign seeks to introduce the life, character and transformative message of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to people from all walks of life.
