Kolkata: JIH Kolkata and AIITA WB organised a workshop for teachers on the topic Child Psychology and Classroom Management. The talk commenced with Inspiration from the Quran by Mrs. Shakila. The first session on Classroom Management was conducted by Dr Saba Taj, vice principal M M Model School and Asst Nazma Metrocity Kolkata.
The topic covered different strategies to manage classroom effectively. Such as how to organise the class, lesson planning, time management, etc. Several activities were also conducted to engage teachers and to gain some practical methods to manage their classes. The session was very interactive during the open session when teachers asked so many questions and got answers.
After tea break an online session on Child Psychology was conducted by Dr Khan Mubashira Firdous, Secretary JIH Women Wing and Lecturer Iqra College Aurangabad, Maharashtra. She covered the importance of child psychology in education, how teachers can understand and solve child problem. She also explained Gardner theory to understand multiple intelligence in children, development stages of children and challenges they face. Many questions were asked by teachers such as how to make our class interesting, how we can manage disruptive behaviour of students, etc. Teachers were also provided self-evaluation sheets.
Mr. Ahmed Farooque, Treasurer JIH Metrocity Kolkata and Secretary MM Foundation Trust addressed the audience and extended vote of thanks.
Total 43 Muslim and 2 Non-Muslim teachers attended the workshop. Teachers of MM Model School, Flair International School, Orient Public School, Genius National School and National Collegiate participated in this workshop.
