New Delhi: Jamaat e Islami Hind National Vice President Prof Salim Engineer expressed grief over the death of 10 Indian Army jawans in a road accident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district.
The incident took place on the Bhaderwah Chamba interstate highway. An Army vehicle carrying jawans fell into a deep gorge. The crash led to the loss of 10 lives. Ten other jawans suffered injuries. Authorities airlifted the injured soldiers to hospital for treatment.
In a media statement, Prof Salim Engineer conveyed condolences to the families of the deceased soldiers. He described the incident as a painful loss for the nation and extended solidarity with the affected families during a period of mourning.
He also offered prayers for strength and patience for the families coping with grief. The statement urged authorities to ensure proper medical care for the injured jawans. It stressed the need for full support during recovery.
The JIH leader prayed for quick and complete recovery of all injured soldiers. He highlighted the responsibility of institutions to provide timely treatment and continued assistance to those impacted by the accident.
The road accident has drawn attention to the risks faced by Army personnel during routine movement in hilly regions. Community leaders and civil groups continue to express sympathy and support for the armed forces and their families following the tragedy.
