JIH Maharashtra organizes Medical Activists Workshop

Nagpur, Jan. 31: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Maharashtra Health Department organized a one-day medical activists workshop at Islamic Center here Sunday. JIH Maharashtra Secretary Zafar Ansari, Health and Medical Counseling Incharge Muhammad Naeem, Dr. Faisal, and other renowned doctors and medical activists participated in the workshop.

The program started with the Quranic recitation by Khawaja Noor-ul-Amin.

Speaking on the spiritual significance of medical services, Zafar Ansari said, “Our actions should solely be for the pleasure and satisfaction of Allah; seeking applause from others shouldn’t be our objective.”

He said all creatures are Allah’s creation, and when a person serves Allah’s servants by fulfilling their needs, they attain closeness to Allah.

Muhammad Naeem explained the objectives and work methodology, stating that currently, there are 6 Medical Guidance Centers in Maharashtra, through which hundreds of individuals have received treatment for various major diseases, including surgery and cancer, without any religious discrimination. He emphasized the need to provide correct guidance for patients afflicted with major diseases without religious bias, highlighting the availability of free treatment through government schemes and the necessity to train individuals in our city for guidance in this regard. He stressed the need for exemplary medical activists.

Speaking as Special Guest, Dr. Faisal suggested that instead of creating separate systems to extend the benefits of government schemes to the public, it is better to become part of the existing system and avail the benefits of government schemes.

Speaking on Model Medical Activist and Our Expectations, Mr. Imran said it’s essential for the government to obtain information about government schemes and make efforts to disseminate it to the public. He emphasized the importance of having information about trust hospitals and connections with blood banks to arrange blood for patients in emergency situations. Further information about current government and non-government schemes was provided.

About 25 doctors from across Maharashtra and 45 medical activists attended the workshop. Certificates and awards were presented to renowned doctors for their services.
