Mapusa, Goa, Dec. 3: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Mapusa organised a Blood Donation Camp here today.
Speaking to media, Mr. Bashir Naik, in-charge of the camp said, “Saving of lives is highly valued in Islam. The Quran says saving of one innocent life is like saving the whole humanity.”
The camp was organised in the background of multiple cases of accidents and increase in demand for blood. “We see a number of requests for blood every day on social media and this small endeavour was to solve the problem in our limited capacity,” Naik added.
People of all religions and castes came together to donate their blood.
Naik also thanked the doctors and staff of Mapusa Hospital who supported the cause and granted all necessary help.
