JIH M’rashtra President Condemns Incidents of Mob Lynching in Maharashtra

Mumbai: The President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), Maharashtra, Maulana Ilyas Khan Falahi, has strongly condemned the brutal murder of 21-year-old Suleman Rahim Khan in Jamner taluka, Jalgaon district, and the killing of another young man, Imran Yunus Patel, in Yawal taluka. Both incidents have deeply shocked the community and raised serious concerns about the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.

Maulana Ilyas Khan Falahi said, “The lynching of Suleman Khan by a mob, who abducted and assaulted him mercilessly before leaving him fatally injured, is an inhuman act that exposes the growing climate of hatred and impunity. Equally disturbing is the killing of Imran Patel in Yawal, where the attackers themselves surrendered after the murder. These heinous crimes are not isolated but part of a disturbing pattern of violence against Muslims in Maharashtra.”

He further stated, “The government is not showing the seriousness required to curb rising communal hatred. Despite repeated appeals, anti-social and communal elements continue to commit crimes without fear of consequences. The failure to act decisively encourages perpetrators to take the law into their own hands. We demand that the state government immediately apprehend all culprits, ensure speedy trials, and book them under the strictest provisions of law.”

Expressing solidarity with the families of the victims, the JIH Maharashtra President said, “It is heart-breaking that Suleman, a young student aspiring to join the police service, was killed so brutally. Imran Patel too lost his life to senseless violence. Their families deserve justice and assurance that such incidents will never recur.”

Maulana Ilyas Khan Falahi appealed to all justice-loving citizens to raise their voices against mob lynching and hate crimes. He urged the Muslims to remain patient and not fall prey to provocations designed to disturb peace and communal harmony.

He warned, “If the government and police administration fail to take urgent and strong action against these elements, Maharashtra may face a severe crisis of law and order. Such unchecked violence will not only tear apart the social fabric but also adversely impact the state’s economic and developmental progress.”
