JIH President Condemns US Israel Strike on Iran, Calls for Diplomacy and Restraint

New Delhi: Jamaat e Islami Hind President Syed Sadatullah Husaini has condemned the joint military attack by the United States and Israel on Iran. He described the action as a grave escalation that threatens peace across West Asia.

In a statement to the media, Husaini said the strikes on Iranian territory violate national sovereignty and push the region toward wider war. He warned that West Asia already faces instability and humanitarian crises. Further military action will deepen tensions and increase civilian suffering. He said disputes over nuclear programmes or security concerns require dialogue and diplomacy, not missiles and warships. He added that aggression weakens international law and undermines global institutions responsible for peace.

Husaini pointed to repeated Israeli military actions in the region and said direct strikes on Iran mark a dangerous phase. He stated that the United States has chosen to support military action at a time when negotiations were under way. Such steps risk triggering a broader conflict with unpredictable consequences. He expressed concern over reports of explosions in Tehran, disruption of civilian life, and the threat of retaliation. He said past wars in the region have led to civilian deaths, displacement, and economic breakdown.

The JIH President urged the international community to intervene urgently and press all sides toward de escalation. He called for immediate restraint and constructive engagement. He said Muslim countries must respond with unity and responsibility to prevent the crisis from expanding.

Husaini also urged India to adopt an independent and principled stand rooted in non alignment and respect for sovereignty. He called on the Government of India to raise its voice for ceasefire and adherence to international law at global forums.

Reaffirming Jamaat e Islami Hind’s position against war and injustice, he said durable peace will emerge through justice, mutual respect, and sincere diplomacy rather than military coercion.
