New Delhi, Nov. 3, 2023: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) president Syed Sadatullah Husaini has launched an all-India Children Islamic Organization (CIO) to train and nurture future generations.
At the inaugural ceremony held in hybrid mode Thursday here, the JIH President said the CIO is an organization for children that would be completely run by children themselves under the patronage of the JIH.
Hoping that lakhs of children from across the country, including Delhi, will join the organization, Mr. Husaini advised the children that as Muslims, they should be good people and help other children be good people too. “They should also be talented people and try to help others develop their talents. Show your skills in every field,” he added.
During his speech, the JIH chief also expressed his heartfelt shock and distress over the Palestinian children who are regularly becoming victims of Israeli bombardments. He asked the children to pray for peace and security and to resolve when they would grow up, they would not allow injustice and oppression anywhere in the world.
Shedding light on its objectives, JIH Vice-President S. Ameenul Hasan said, “The JIH has long experiences in running children’s organizations and it is already working on it under different names. However, it is now being given a formal organizational structure that will function at regional, state, and national levels, with each one having the authority to make decisions independently. But, its leadership will be guided by the centre. The purpose of this organization is to identify the natural potential of the child and to bring it out so that these children become a great asset for the community and the nation.”
A large number of children from different parts of the country participated in the program both online and in person. Secretary of Markazi Taleemi Board Syed Tanveer Ahmad, and President of JIH Delhi Salimullah Khan, along with several JIH leaders, also participated. At the end, several children presented their literary and cultural skills. The programme was hosted by Ms. Mubashshira Firdous, JIH Assistant Secretary.
