JIH President Syed Sadatullah Husaini Condemns Israeli Strikes on Iran, Calls It a Reckless Act of War

New Delhi — The President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), Syed Sadatullah Husaini, has strongly condemned Israel’s recent military strikes on multiple locations across Iran, including residential zones and sensitive nuclear sites. The attacks, reportedly targeting the Natanz nuclear facility and resulting in the deaths of senior Iranian military personnel, nuclear scientists, and civilians, have drawn widespread international concern.

In a statement released to the media, Husaini said:
“Israel’s brazen and unprovoked assault on the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of ‎Iran is a flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter. Striking civilian and military ‎targets, including nuclear research facilities, in the heart of a sovereign country without any ‎international mandate or imminent threat is a reckless act of war and nothing short of state terrorism.”

He added that this dangerous military escalation risks dragging the entire West Asian region into a catastrophic conflict, with the potential to spark a larger global crisis.
“Reports indicate that Israel targeted the Natanz nuclear facility, among others, and that top ‎Iranian military leaders, nuclear scientists, and civilians have been killed. This dangerous military aggression could trigger ‎a devastating regional conflict and potentially spiral into a global crisis. The world cannot ‎afford another war in West Asia. The silence and passive complicity of powerful nations is ‎deeply disturbing.”

Responding to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s justification for the strikes based on Iran’s nuclear programme, Husaini challenged the legitimacy of the claims:
“These unilateral allegations are neither ‎new nor substantiated. Iran has repeatedly maintained that its nuclear programme is for ‎peaceful purposes. International institutions like the IAEA should be the arbiter, not states complicit in blatant genocide and war crimes, acting as judge, jury, and executioner.”

He further condemned the killings of Iranian scientists and military leaders:
“The killing of senior Iranian military leaders ‎and scientists are gross violation of human rights and ‎international norms.”

Calling for urgent global attention and action, Husaini urged:
“We urge the United Nations and the international community to take urgent steps to de-escalate the situation and ‎hold Israel accountable. We demand immediate global intervention and sanctions against the aggressor. Failure to act will set a dangerous ‎precedent for impunity and lawlessness in international relations.”

His remarks come amid increasing calls worldwide for restraint, diplomacy, and a halt to unilateral military actions that threaten global peace.
