JIH President Syed Sadatullah Husaini Condemns Pahalgam Terror Attack, Demands Swift Justice

New Delhi: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) President, Syed Sadatullah Husaini, has vehemently condemned the brutal terror attack in Pahalgam, South Kashmir, which occurred on Tuesday and resulted in the tragic deaths of several innocent civilians, including foreign tourists.
In a heartfelt statement, Husaini expressed profound grief over the senseless violence and emphasized the urgent need for justice. “We strongly condemn the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam. The loss of innocent lives, including tourists from abroad, is a tragic and painful blow to humanity. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the victims and their bereaved families,” he said.
He further added, “Such heinous violence has no justification. It is a completely inhuman act that defies every moral, religious, and ethical code. The perpetrators of this atrocity must be swiftly identified and awarded the harshest possible punishment.”
Reiterating that no political or ideological motive can legitimize such barbarity, the JIH President appealed to the government to take prompt and transparent action. “The central and state authorities must act decisively to bring the culprits to justice, strengthen security frameworks, and protect all communities—especially those vulnerable to such attacks.”
He also urged civil society, religious leaders, and the media to act with sensitivity and responsibility. “In such times, we must unite in compassion, not allow hatred or suspicion to divide us. Any rhetoric that fuels division or targets innocent groups must be strictly avoided.”
