Jaipur, April 15: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Rajasthan hosted an Eid Milan Samaroh (Eid Gathering) at the Islamic Center on Moti Doongri Road here Sunday. The event united religious figures, activists, media representatives, intellectuals, writers, and members of various social groups representing diverse faiths.
Mohammad Nazimuddin, State President of JIH Rajasthan, highlighted the importance of nurturing mutual cooperation and love to combat the increasing divisiveness in the country. He emphasized the core values of Eid centered on love and brotherhood, urging attendees to actively participate in the electoral process.
Under the leadership of JIH National Vice President Dr. Muhammad Salim Engineer, the event stressed the unifying role of religion and the necessity of justice within religious frameworks to preserve national unity amidst attempts to sow religious discord.
Several speakers, including religious leaders and activists from different backgrounds, echoed messages of unity, understanding, and the imperative to counter hatred with love while fostering appreciation for societal diversity.
The gathering facilitated dialogue and solidarity, with participants affirming humanity’s universal values beyond societal divisions. JIH Rajasthan State General Secretary Shahid Khan orchestrated the event, reflecting a collective commitment to nurturing communal harmony and goodwill.
Key speakers at the event included figures such as Mahant Haridas Maharaj of Brijbhumi Ashram, Sawaisingh (State President of Rajasthan Samgra Seva Sangh), Sunil Sharma (Chairman of Gyankavihar University), Hafiz Manzoor (representing Jamiat Ulema Hind), Habiburrahman Niazi (Sajjada Nashin of Dargah Mir Qurban Ali), Kavita Srivastava (National President of PUCL), Mahant Praveen Bhaiyyaji, Shia Alim Maulana Ali Imam Naqvi, Shabbir Khan Carpet (State President of Rajasthan Muslim Forum), Naeem Rabbani, Ramray Sharma (from Gayatri Parivar), Mohanlal Bairwa (Dalit Leader), and Abdul Latif Arko (representing Dalit Muslim Ekta Manch).
