Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Launches Nationwide ‘Neighbors’ Rights’ Campaign in Jaipur

Jaipur: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) Rajasthan has announced the launch of a ten-day, nationwide campaign focused on the “Rights of Neighbors,” operating under the slogan “Ideal Neighbor, Ideal Society.” The announcement was made today by Muhammad Nazimuddin, President of JIH Rajasthan, during a press conference in Jaipur.

The campaign is scheduled to run across the country from November 21 to November 30, 2025. Its primary goal is to rekindle the spirit of goodwill and good conduct towards neighbors, thereby strengthening community bonds.

Muhammad Nazimuddin said, Islam places great significance on the rights of neighbors, viewing them as a cornerstone of a harmonious society.

He said, The Quran explicitly instructs followers to maintain good relations not just with immediate neighbors, but also with ‘temporary neighbors,’ which includes colleagues, fellow travelers, and even those sharing the road.

He informed, This campaign aims to remind Muslims of these essential teachings and encourage them to be exemplary neighbors, reflecting the true spirit of Islam to society.

Muhammad Nazimuddin said, A society built on a foundation of good relationships naturally evolves into an ideal one. When neighbors treat each other with kindness, forgiveness, and justice, the positive ripple effect transforms the entire community.

He said, It is hoped that the campaign will not only help resolve misunderstandings among neighbors but also serve as a strong testament to Islamic values like empathy and social responsibility.

He said, the initiative addresses the growing sense of loneliness in urban areas, which often leads to the neglect of neighboring relationships.

He said, Specific social responsibilities promoted include mutual empathy, cooperation, cleanliness, and traffic discipline.

Key Activities During the Campaign

The nationwide campaign will feature a variety of programs, with a special emphasis on outreach to people of all faiths to foster harmony and dispel misconceptions about Islam.

Community Service: Neighborhood cleaning drives and local planning to encourage ongoing dialogue and follow-up even after the campaign concludes.

Special Programs: Exclusive events for women and youth (including tea parties and cultural/sports activities), Mascara Introduction programs, and joint gatherings.

Meet & Greet: JIH volunteers will meet with neighbors (without religious discrimination), offer small gifts, and visit the elderly and sick in their locality.

Competitions: Various competitions for students and youth, including painting, drama, speech, essay writing, video/reels, storytelling, and selfie points. The program will also include media conferences and Jumu’ah (Friday) sermons.
