Hyderabad, Jan. 28: In recognition of and support for academic excellence, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) Telangana honored outstanding students with Abdul Basit Anwar Higher Education Fellowship for 2023-24.
The felicitation ceremony held here was graced by esteemed guests and dignitaries, including JIH State President Prof. MKM Zafar. In his address to the students, Prof. Zafar highlighted the Jamaat’s commitment to community welfare and its dedication to nurturing talent within the Muslim youth.
Underlining the significance of recognizing and encouraging academic, professional, and entrepreneurial pursuits among the younger generation, Prof. Zafar commended the selected students for their remarkable achievements.
JIH Telangana Human Resource Development Director SM Fasiullah reiterated the organization’s commitment to fostering educational advancement within the community. “Our aim is to empower and support meritorious students as they pursue higher education,” stated Fasiullah.
“This year, we are proud to announce the selection of eight deserving candidates specializing in fields such as media, law, economics, and history.”
Each recipient of the fellowship was presented with a cheque of Rs. 15,000, along with a memento and a certificate of appreciation.
The Abdul Basit Anwar Higher Education Fellowship, named in honor of the esteemed former president of JIH Andhra Pradesh, serves as a testament to JIH’s enduring commitment to educational excellence and the empowerment of the Muslim youth.
