Hyderabad: Mr. Abdul Rahman Mujahid, Member of the Advisory Council of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Wadi Huda, passed away suddenly on Monday evening, at the age of 65. The deceased was the only son of the late Maulana Mohammed Abdul Aziz, former Naib Ameer (Vice President) of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind. He was a pious man, endowed with excellent morals and noble character.
Expressing grief over his sudden demise, Dr. Mohammed Khalid Mubashiruzzafar, State President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Telangana, said that with his passing, Jamaat-e-Islami has lost a selfless and quiet soldier. Throughout his life, he served the movement following in the footsteps of his father, Maulana Mohammed Abdul Aziz.
The Telangana Ameer added that the deceased had mastery over the Arabic language and literature. Owing to several years of work in Saudi Arabia, he possessed an exceptional command of Arabic and dedicated his life to the field of translation. He rendered active and dynamic yet quiet services to the Islamic movement. In his locality, Wadi Huda, he worked consistently to instil a love for understanding the Qur’an among people through Arabic language classes, from which many students benefited. He was proficient in Arabic, Urdu, and English.
May Allah forgive him, ease all stages ahead for him, grant him the highest place in Jannat al-Firdous, and grant his family patience and strength.
The funeral prayer was offered on Tuesday, after the Zuhr prayer at Masjid Fatima, Jamia Dar al-Huda, Wadi Huda, and the burial took place at the Jalpally graveyard. The funeral was attended by Maulana Hamid Mohammed Khan, Mr. Mohammed Azharuddin, Mr. Mohammed Abdul Majeed Shoaib, along with a large number of leaders, members, and workers of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind.
