JIH Telangana Women’s Wing Conducting “Morality is Freedom” Campaign Across State

The Women’s Wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Telangana, has been actively conducting a series of programs as part of their “Morality is Freedom” campaign, running from September 1 to September 30, 2024. These events are being held across various educational institutions, targeting students and educators at different levels.

In high schools, programs were organized in Vikarabad, Zaheerabad, Korutla, and Peddapally, engaging a large number of students in discussions on moral values and the importance of ethical conduct. Additionally, lectures on the “Morality is Freedom” theme were conducted at inter, degree, and B.Ed colleges in places such as Vikarabad, Zaheerabad, Mudhole, Korutla, Kohir, and Pastapur.

Special ijtimas focused on moral values were also held in Pastapur, Mudhole, and Allipur, gathering participants from these communities.

The campaign saw a notable turnout across various institutions, including ZPGHS Telugu with 150+ non-Muslim students and 15 Muslim students, Junior College Telugu with 50+ non-Muslim students and 20 Muslim students, Junior College Urdu with 50 students, TMRIES Girls Hostel with 85+ students, and Shaheen College with 150+ Muslim students and 5 non-Muslim students.

Further efforts were made in the Urdu medium schools and colleges, where the campus work reached several institutions:

  • Awami High School: 35 students
  • Govt Girls High School: 120 students
  • Shaheen Junior College: 150+ students
  • Nasr High School: 30 students
  • Govt High School, Shantinagar: 40 students
  • Govt High School, Khassabgalli: 65+ students
  • Islamia Model High School: 60 students
  • Govt Degree College: 103 students
  • Iqra Model High School: 50+ students
  • ZPHS 2B Gadi High School: 40+ students
  • Govt Junior College: 50+ students

In Korutla, the B.Ed and Degree Colleges saw participation from 713 students and 42 staff members, both Muslims and non-Muslims. The topic “Morality is Freedom” was the focus of the speeches delivered, aiming to instill the values of morality and freedom in the minds of young students and educators alike.

The campaign reflects the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind’s commitment to promoting moral values in society, emphasizing that true freedom is rooted in ethical living.
