Kolkata, Sep 7: As part of the nationwide ‘Morality is Freedom’ campaign, the Women’s Wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind West Bengal paid visits to Anjuman Girls High School and Genius National School here. The campaign, focused on promoting morality and ethics among students, saw enthusiastic participation from both students and educators.
During the visits, interactive sessions were held with students and teachers, emphasizing the importance of instilling moral values in children and safeguarding them from the negative influences of the modern environment. The sessions aimed to equip students with the ethical tools needed to navigate today’s world with integrity and purpose.
At Genius National School, located in Topsia, around 50 female students, along with 30 teachers, the principal, and the school coordinator, attended the lecture. Similarly, at Anjuman Girls High School, approximately 100 students and 15 teachers were present for the engaging discussions.
The MetroCity Women’s Team led the school visits, with prominent figures delivering key lectures. Sarwat Afroz from the Najma Topsia unit inspired attendees with teachings from the Quran, emphasizing the spiritual foundation of morality. Humaira Sohail, Secretary of Girls Islamic Organization (GIO) MetroCity Kolkata, introduced the organization to the students, highlighting its role in fostering moral and ethical values among young women. Dr. Saba Taj, Assistant Nazima of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) Kolkata MetroCity, delivered an insightful lecture on the theme “Morality is Freedom,” drawing connections between ethical conduct and personal liberty.
The team also engaged in a lively interaction with the students, addressing their questions and encouraging them to uphold moral principles in their daily lives. The campaign’s visit to these schools marks a major step in spreading awareness about the crucial role of morality in shaping a just and free society.
