Srinagar : The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday declared an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh each for the families of those who lost their lives in the horrific terror attack that struck Pahalgam on Tuesday, reported the Sahil Online.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, expressing deep sorrow and outrage, took to social media platform X to condemn the incident. “Deeply shocked and anguished by the despicable terrorist attack in Pahalgam yesterday. This barbaric and senseless act of brutality against innocent civilians has no place in our society. We condemn it in the strongest possible terms. We mourn the precious lives lost,” he posted.
The terror strike, which targeted a popular tourist area, left 28 people dead, including two foreign nationals, and several others injured. The government’s announcement of financial aid aims to support the grieving families in this hour of tragedy.
