Munna Khalid, Jamia Millia Islamia’s PhD student has won two bronze medals at the Indonesia Para Badminton International 2024 organized by BWF Badminton World Federation in Solo, Indonesia.
After winning the group match, Khalid reached the semi-finals, but lost to South Korea’s number one player Kim JJ 12-21 and 11-21 in the match. He had to be content with a bronze medal in mixed doubles as well. In July this year, Khalid won gold, silver and bronze medals at the Uganda Para Badminton Championship 2024.
Prof. Mohammad Shakeel, Vice Chancellor of JMI, has congratulated Khalid for the achievement and wished him success in his future endeavours.
Prof. Aurangzeb Khurram Hafeez, JMI’s Director of Games and Sports has expressed hope that Khalid will bring more accolades for the university and the country.
