The onslaught on Gaza and the plight of the Palestinian people has been widely discussed in Indian campuses, including HCU, Pondicherry University, college campuses and now in JNU. On October 31st 2023, a protest was organized by the students union in solidarity with Palestinians, in form of a march on campus. It was addressed by multiple student organisations and student leaders, including representatives from SIO and Fraternity Movement.
Some of the slogans that reverberated through the campus included: “Netanyahu you can’t hide, We charge you with Genocide!” and “By the million, by the billion! We all are Palestinians, We all are Palestinians!” and the most popular one – “From the River to the sea, Palestine will be free!”
