New Delhi: The Just Media Foundation has announced Urdu Journalism Award, aimed at recognizing outstanding journalists who excel in ground reports, investigative stories, and video reports. This award seeks to honor those whose work has not only informed the public but also significantly impacted societal awareness and engaged the government and administration.
As per a report by the Asia Times, this is the first dedicated award for Urdu journalism, with categories that highlight exceptional performance across various domains. Just Media Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on media research, training, production, and advocacy. It aims to foster a society that contributes to human development, strengthens democracy, and promotes values and ethics within India’s diverse communities.
In the past three years, Just Media Foundation has conducted media workshops that have trained over 500 students from India and abroad. These workshops have taken place in Doha, Qatar, New Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. The foundation has also organized media internship programs, providing training in media research, report writing, and data journalism to over 1,000 students.
