May 5, 2024: In a significant turn of events, JD(S) MLA HD Revanna has been apprehended by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) amidst a deepening sex scandal investigation in Karnataka. The arrest follows the rejection of his anticipatory bail plea by a Bengaluru court in connection with the alleged abduction case in Mysuru.
The allegations stem from the purported kidnapping of a woman, reportedly a former household employee at the Revannas’ residence, by a close associate of HD Revanna on April 29. The woman’s son accused Revanna and his aide of involvement in her disappearance, leading to heightened scrutiny and legal action.
