Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday slammed Israel’s attack on Iran, calling it “Zionist terrorism” and a threat to world peace, reported the MSN.
At a press conference, Vijayan urged the Indian government to take a clear and strong stance against Israel. He demanded that India raise strong protests at international forums.
Vijayan said the attack was backed by “imperialist” America. He claimed it violated international law and diplomatic norms.
He urged the global community, especially the UN, to intervene and stop what he called unlawful aggression.
“The Indian government must not remain silent. It should support peace and justice by condemning this act,” he said.
With conflict rising, the CM also shared steps to support Keralites returning from the region.
He said the Resident Commissioner at Kerala House in Delhi will arrange accommodation and travel for evacuees from Iran or Israel.
The state has asked returning Keralites to register through the NORKA Global Contact Centre.
Helpline numbers are 18004253939 (Toll-Free) and +918802012345 (International Missed Call) for repatriation assistance.
Vijayan’s comments come amid growing global tension in West Asia, with fears of a wider conflict.
