A sessions court in Thalassery, Kerala, acquitted 13 individuals associated with the National Development Front (NDF) on Saturday in the 2005 murder case of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader T. Ashwini Kumar. The NDF later became the now-banned Popular Front of India (PFI).
Of the 14 accused, only MV Marshook, who was 23 at the time of the incident, was found guilty. His sentencing is set for November 14. The acquitted individuals include Nurul Amin, PK Aziz, PM Siraj, MK Yunus, CP Ummer, Ali, Naufal, Yakub, Mustafa, Basheer, Shammas, and Shanavas, all of whom faced charges related to the murder.
