Kharge Criticizes PM Modi’s ‘Mujra’ Remark as an Insult to Bihar

Sasaram, May 27: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has sharply criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his recent “mujra” comment directed at opposition leaders, claiming it is an insult to Bihar. Speaking at an election rally in support of Congress leader Manoj Kumar, the Mahagathbandhan nominee for the Sasaram Lok Sabha constituency, Kharge expressed his dismay over Modi’s remarks made during a rally in Bihar on Friday.

“PM used ‘mujra’ for opposition leaders in an election rally in Bihar… Modi ji insulted Bihar by using this word… it implies that mujra happens here. This is an insult to Bihar and its electorates,” Kharge stated.

He further accused the Prime Minister of being dictatorial, suggesting that if Modi were to secure a third term, it would suppress public discourse. Kharge emphasized that the current election is a contest between the people and Modi, rather than a personal battle between Rahul Gandhi and Modi.

While acknowledging Modi’s position as Prime Minister, Kharge accused him of showing favoritism towards wealthy individuals over the poor. Voting in Sasaram and several other constituencies, including Nalanda, Patna Sahib, Pataliputra, Arrah, Buxar, Karakat, and Jehanabad, is scheduled for June 1.
