Kota (Rajasthan): The Kota Rural Congress Minority Department held a protest and burned an effigy of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Bapawar Kala on Friday. The demonstration was organized under the leadership of Asrar Ahmad, President of the Kota Rural Minority Congress, to condemn Kumar’s alleged act of pulling a Muslim woman doctor’s hijab during a public event in Bihar.
Acting under the direction of Rajasthan Congress Minority Department President M.D. Choupdar, protesters gathered in large numbers, raising slogans and expressing strong anger over the incident. The demonstrators handed over a memorandum addressed to the Hon’ble President of India to the Bapawar police station officer, demanding action against the Bihar Chief Minister.

Speaking at the protest, Asrar Ahmad said the reported incident involving Dr. Nusrat Parveen was an insult not only to Muslim women but to women across India. “This act reminds us of the humiliation of Draupadi in the Mahabharata. Just as Duryodhan lost his throne after insulting a woman, Nitish Kumar too will face the consequences for this unjust behavior,” Ahmad remarked.
Ahmad further stated that India is the land of Rani Lakshmi Bai, where women are revered, and that any form of disrespect toward women will be strongly opposed. He added that if Nitish Kumar does not publicly apologize and resign, the party will initiate larger protests in the coming days.
The protest witnessed participation from several community members and Congress workers, including Imam Sahab of Bapawar, Qazi Sabir Hussain, Abdul Ghayyum, Haji Maqsood, Shahadat Multani, Ashraf Pathan, Salim Ansari, Saddam Hussain, Mujammil Ansari, Ibrahim Mewati, Sajjad Hussain, Rais Bhai Painter, Altaf Ansari, Risalat Hussain, Haji Abid, Khwaja Bakhsh Hussain, Qabuddin Ansari, Irfan Tailor, Arif Danish Khan, Tariq Pathan, Jalal Mirza, Ahk Nawaz, and Kallu Painter, among others.
