Jaipur – In a powerful display of solidarity, several left-wing parties and allied organizations in Jaipur observed National Solidarity Day with Palestine by staging a protest and public meeting at the Khasa Kothi intersection. The demonstration was organized to condemn the “brutal massacre” of innocent civilians in Gaza by Israel and to express unwavering support for the Palestinian people.
The protest was led by the Communist Party of India (Marxist), the Communist Party of India, and the Communist Party of India (ML), and was part of a nationwide call given by left parties. Similar demonstrations were held across India to denounce the violence in Gaza and to advocate for the rights of Palestinians.
The Jaipur protest witnessed significant participation from a wide array of organizations, including the Samajwadi Party, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA), Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), National Federation of Indian Women (NFIW), Students’ Federation of India (SFI), Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU), All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC), and All India Central Council of Trade Unions (AICCTU).
Demonstrators chanted powerful slogans such as:
“Down with American Imperialism!”
“Israel-America’s hooliganism will not be tolerated!”
“Down with Netanyahu!”
“Netanyahu’s hooliganism will not be tolerated!”
“Long live the people of Palestine!”
“Stop the genocide in Gaza!”
“Modi government (BJP-RSS) at the Centre, stop supporting Israel!”
“Cancel all strategic agreements with America!”
Following the protest, a public meeting was held at the same venue. Speakers addressed the gathering, emphasizing the urgent need to end the violence in Gaza and calling for strong international action in support of Palestine.
The assembly was addressed by prominent leaders from the participating parties and organizations. Speakers included Ravindra Shukla, Sumitra Chopra, Dr. Sanjay “Madhav”, and Bhanwar Singh from CPI(M); Tarasingh Sidhu, Narendra Acharya, Amin Ali, and Nisha Sidhu from CPI; Vinod Yadav from the Samajwadi Party; and Mohammed Nazimuddin and Sabiha Parveen from Jamaat-e-Islami Hind.
Dr. Sanjay “Madhav”, District Secretary of CPI(M), ably compered the program.
