In a heartening display of environmental consciousness and youthful leadership, the Children Islamic Organisation (CIO) is spearheading a nationwide plantation and eco-awareness campaign titled ‘Hands in Soil, Hearts with India’. Launched on 25th June 2025, this month-long initiative aims to transform India into a greener, healthier land – one sapling at a time.
Now entering the mid-point of its campaign, CIO’s little eco warriors are making a remarkable impact across the country. From bustling city streets to quiet towns, children are enthusiastically participating in awareness rallies, plantation drives, eco-pledge gatherings, and engaging street plays (nukkad nataks), creatively raising awareness about the importance of trees and environmental protection.
Holding banners, distributing saplings, and performing thought-provoking eco skits, these children are inspiring citizens from all walks of life to join the green cause. Public pledges are being taken in parks, schools, madrasas, markets, and mosques, where children vow to plant trees and motivate others to follow suit.
“These young voices are proving that age is no barrier when it comes to protecting our environment,” said a CIO campaign organiser. “Their enthusiasm is infectious – turning every colony, school, and marketplace into a hub of green awareness.”
The campaign’s reach is spreading like never before, with citizens visibly joining hands with children to plant trees, take pledges, and envision a greener, cleaner India. This children-led movement is rapidly reshaping public spaces and hearts alike.
The initiative is already leaving its mark on India’s landscape and public mindset – marking 2025 as a significant year for environmental action and signalling a greener, more responsible future. As the CIO campaign approaches its final phase by 25th July 2025, the enthusiasm only grows stronger, proving that when children lead, real change follows.
