Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Phase 4 Voting Scheduled for May 13 Across 10 States

8 May 2024: The Lok Sabha Elections 2024 continue to progress as the fourth phase of voting is set to take place on May 13, covering 96 seats across 10 states and union territories. Voters in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will play a significant role, with all 25 seats in Andhra Pradesh and 17 constituencies in Telangana up for voting.

In addition to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, voters in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Jammu and Kashmir will also cast their votes in this phase. A total of 13 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 11 in Maharashtra, and 8 in West Bengal are among the key constituencies to watch out for.

Notable candidates in this phase include Asaduddin Owaisi from Hyderabad, Bandi Sanjay Kumar from Karimnagar in Telangana, Union Minister Giriraj Singh from Begusarai in Bihar, and Y S Sharmila from Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh. Other significant contenders include Arjun Munda from Khunti in Jharkhand, Shatrughan Sinha from Asansol in West Bengal, as well as Yusuf Pathan and Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary from Baharampur in West Bengal.

Following the fourth phase, subsequent phases of voting are scheduled for May 20, May 25, and June 1. The culmination of the electoral process will be on June 4, when the Lok Sabha election results for 2024 are slated to be announced, three days after the final phase of voting.
