Jaipur, April 16: In an effort to promote civic engagement and democratic participation, students of Madrasa Noore Mohammadia Islamia in Jaipur took to the streets on Monday for a voter awareness rally. Led by their education instructor, Shahid Khan, the students embarked on a march through the main roads of Shastri Nagar, Jaipur, chanting slogans advocating for the importance of voting.
The rally, which commenced and concluded at the Madrasa campus, witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students. They raised slogans such as “Voting is our right, the country has to be made strong, every citizen should become a voter” and “Voting is our right, do not waste it,” aiming to inspire civic responsibility among the local community.
During the rally, the students engaged with bystanders, highlighting the significance of registering to vote upon reaching 18 years of age and actively participating in the electoral process. Their instructor, Shahid Khan, underscored the necessity of voting as a fundamental democratic right essential for choosing the country’s leadership.
Shahid Khan emphasized the importance of educating Madrasa students about the electoral process and encouraged them to extend this awareness to their families and acquaintances. He reminded everyone of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections scheduled in Jaipur on April 19, urging widespread voter turnout.
The initiative by Madrasa Noore Mohammadia Islamia reflects a proactive approach towards fostering civic consciousness and empowering young citizens to play an active role in shaping the future of their nation through democratic means.
