Mumbai– Newly appointed Maharashtra Congress President Harshwardhan Sapkal has asserted that the party is not as weak as last year’s assembly results suggest but acknowledges the need for structural reforms. He emphasized rebuilding the middle-order leadership to improve coordination and accountability.
In an interview with ThePrint, Sapkal, a former MLA from Buldhana in Vidarbha, stated, “We have strong leaders and the support of voters, but the middle-order leadership requires strengthening.” He plans to make new appointments, empower leaders, and replace ineffective functionaries to bolster the party’s organizational framework.
Sapkal’s strategy aims to rejuvenate the Maharashtra Congress ahead of crucial political battles, ensuring a stronger and more coordinated leadership structure.
