Mumbai: In a recent gathering of Majlis-ul-Ulama Tahreek-e-Islami Maharashtra, religious scholars voiced serious concerns over the deteriorating socio-political climate in India, particularly the rising instances of mob violence and injustices against Muslims. The meeting, held on February 23, 2025, at Dar-ul-Faiz, Madanpura, emphasized resilience, courage, and unwavering faith in the face of adversity.
Speaking at the event, Maulana Mahmood Doryabadi stated that while Islam teaches peace, Muslims should never be cowardly. He stressed the importance of standing firm against oppression and defending Islamic principles with determination.
Maulana Muhammad Aslam Islahi highlighted that trials and hardships ultimately lead to success, urging the Muslim community to remain steadfast and strengthen their relationship with Allah. He cited Quranic references to emphasize that falsehood is weak and bound to perish, while the truth will always prevail.
During his address on “Prophet Muhammad ﷺ: The Ideal Leader – Wisdom, Foresight, Courage, and Conviction”, Maulana Muhammad Umar Aslam Islahi of Madrasat-ul-Islah, Azamgarh, underscored that scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets and bear the responsibility of leadership. He called upon religious leaders to emulate the Prophet’s ﷺ example, demonstrating unwavering commitment to truth despite challenges.
The concluding speech was delivered by Maulana Muhammad Naseer Islahi, General Secretary of Majlis-ul-Ulama Tahreek-e-Islami Maharashtra. He stressed the importance of discipline and organizational unity, stating that no movement—or even an individual—can succeed without a structured approach.
The meeting saw participation from a large number of scholars from across Maharashtra, reaffirming the community’s commitment to resilience and unity in the face of oppression.
