Kozhikode, May 11: The Junior and Sub-Junior finals of Little Scholar, an international talent exam for Malayali students, have concluded with great success. Hosted by MediaOne in collaboration with Malarwadi and Teen India Associations, the third phase of the festival saw enthusiastic participation from 26 participants in each category, representing various regions across the globe.
The talent festival was officially inaugurated by Kerala Education Minister V. Sivankutty, who unveiled the festival logo. Prominent magician Gopinath Muthukad inaugurated the registration process. The festival included preliminary and district competitions across three categories: junior, sub-junior, and senior.
Students from Kozhikode, Kochi, and Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, as well as participants from outside Kerala and GCC countries, engaged in the event through online platforms. Nishad Rauthar, MediaOne Associate Coordinating Editor, spearheaded the competition.
The first-level exam of the festival engaged over 50,000 students across 245 centers in 7 countries, with the second-level examination conducted at 15 centers across India on the same day. Additionally, an online mode for GCC countries successfully accommodated approximately 3000 students in the second level. Distinguished guests, including ministers, MPs, MLAs, IAS officers, and other public figures, graced the second-level examinations as chief guests.
In the Sub-Junior category, PK Nabeeha Khalid from Andaman and Nicobar Islands secured the first position, followed by Eshwar M Vinayan from Thiruvananthapuram and Muhammad Hisham P from Malappuram in second and third positions, respectively. Sarang RP from Kasaragode, Muhammad Yusuf Nisar from Kuwait, and Adhidev Vinod from Kollam secured the fourth to sixth positions, respectively.
In the Junior category, Shihad Shiju from Pathanamthitta emerged as the top Junior Little Scholar, with Karthik P from Kottayam and Arjun A from Kasaragod securing the second and third positions, respectively. Ayman A Muhammad from Kuwait, Ardra AV from Ernakulam, and Srilakshmi E from Kannur secured the fourth to sixth positions, respectively.
The top eight teams with the highest points in the Senior category will advance to the grand finale. The prize distribution ceremony for the winners across various categories will take place at the grand finale, scheduled to be held at the MediaOne headquarters here at the end of May. The grand finale will be broadcast on MediaOne.
Prizes worth 40 lakh rupees await the students at Little Scholar. The final winners will receive various prizes, including iMacs, laptops, cycles, and gold coins from Al Muqadadir Jewellery, along with medals for top-performing students and a Teacher’s Assistant Robot for the best school. Aegon Learning is the title sponsor of the event.
