Shivmoga: Malnad Educational and Charitable Trust held a felicitation programme for the meritorious students of 10th and 12th standards of the year 2023-24. Cash awards and laptops were presented to district level toppers in both categories.
Deputy Director of Public Instructions (DDPI) PI Manjunath was the chief guest and students and teachers from relative schools along with the parents attended the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Manjunath said Malnad Trust has undertaken the responsibility the government had to shoulder. Admiring the services of the trust, he emphasised that accomplishment of success is next to impossible without sacrificing the desires and working hard.
Block Education Officer Ramesh advised the students to take advantage of social service organisations like Malnad Trust and brighten their future. Emphasising the civil society groups in the advancement of students’ career, another educational officer U Chandrappa said by joining Union Public Services the students can serve the society in a better way.
Earlier, the Trust President Aijaz Ahmed introduced to the audience the activities and aims and activities of the organisation.
In the college students’ category Bibi Amina, Saba Tarannum, Madeeha Khanum, Kahkashan Afreen, Almeez Fatima, Pavan, Suvita and Chikki were presented with laptops. In 10th standard category Gurukiran, Sharvari Rao, Rafia Kounain, Rmsha Khan, Parveen, Umme Kulsum, Sajida, Farzana Parveen, Asma Banu, Mohommed Zaid, Arshia Fatima and Aliya Khanum were given laptops, while few others were awarded cash prizes.
